I am a passionate and experienced tutor, recently returned from working as a Teaching Assistant in a South Korean boarding school. I have an exceptional academic record, with 43 points at IB (equivalent to 5 A*s at A level), a First in Classics from Cambridge, and a High Pass in my Masters degree (also from Cambridge). I have extensive experience working as a tutor, primarily in Latin and Greek, but also in English and more general interview technique. In the summer of 2010 I taught two GCSE level students Ancient Greek from scratch, both of whom were able to join the relevant class at school, having learned a year's worth of Greek in a few short months. I have tutored Latin from beginner to A-level standard, and achieved highly successful results. While in Korea, I assisted with and taught Latin to students between age 9 and age 13, using both the Minimus textbook and the Cambridge Latin Course. I also designed my own course for teaching beginner Greek, with highly positive results. In addition, I have worked as a tutor for Oxbridge admissions (both with Oxbridge Applications and privately), offering sessions for writing personal statements and one-to-one classes on interview technique. Again, my students have achieved success, securing places at top universities. I also have teaching experience in English Literature and IB Philosophy. While my main subjects are Latin and Greek (which I can teach up to degree level), I am confident tutoring in English up to A-level and IB, and Philosophy, History and Maths up to GCSE-level. I am familiar with a range of exam board syllabi, and confident with regards to providing my own materials.
Previous Teaching Experience:
I have worked as a Teaching Assistant at North London Collegiate School Jeju, specifically assisting with Latin lessons.
