I was born and grew up in Northern Ireland. I enjoyed school and had an aptitude for science. This led me to study Biology at Imperial College London. During my degree I developed a passion for the brain and subsequently I am starting a MRes in Translational Neurology at University College London. I found university big step up from the learning experience I had in school. I was assessed and found to have dyslexia in 2012. This made me more aware of how I learn and combined with my passion for the human brain I have been intrigued by the multitude of ways the brain takes in information and processes it. In particular, I find it fascinating how different people learn more effectively using certain methods. My teaching style includes using different mediums that can be adapted to the clients needs. I would incorporate the different senses we use to take in information to enhance the learning process.
