I’m a fan of a wide variety of music and, living in London, I enjoy experiencing everything the city has to offer. I also enjoy the cinema and the theatre, particularly The Globe. On a quieter note, I am an avid reader, especially of twentieth century fiction, and an aspiring writer; at the moment I am working on a series of short stories. I like visiting foreign countries and learning through the experience of travelling.

ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (EFL)
My tutoring style promotes a partnership between tutor and student. By finding the best path towards the objective together, I have found that learning can become less arduous and more successful. By creating a ‘learning plan’ for example, the student can see the purpose and importance of each lesson on the road towards our goal.
I believe that practice is of utmost importance and crucially, practice that recreates the conditions of the challenge ahead. For example, in preparation for a timed exam, timed practice is imperative. I seek to identify and resolve the anxieties and perceived weaknesses of the student when faced with this challenge. I know that self-esteem and confidence are fundamental to learning.
I have a love for the English language and its application, from literature to everyday conversation. I am also deeply interested in the wider humanities, including religion, ethics, politics and geography. I have found that through my passion for these subjects, I can elicit legitimate interest from my students.
