Since 2009, I have tutored Maths, Science and Economics and have over 500 hours of tuition experience. I love solving problems, sharing in my pupils sense of achievement, and seeing them reach their potential.
Regardless of subject, age, or ability, I am a firm believer in nurturing curiosity and teaching pupils to teach themselves. I also believe that tuition should be as personalised as possible! My lessons are tailored to my pupils learning styles, interests and abilities to make the experience as enjoyable as it can be.
In addition to having completed the inspirational Teach First scheme, I have also worked in the Foreign Office and in the City and as a globetrotting Management Consultant. I believe my range of experiences allows me to get on quickly with my pupils.
2007 - 2010: BSc. Economics and Politics
2005 - 2007: Wallington County Grammar School - A Levels: Maths (A), Further Maths (A), Economics (A), History (A), General Studies. AS Levels: French (A)
2010 -2011 - Maths GCSE tuition. I ran a tuition service within a school I was teaching in as a part of the prestigious Teach First scheme. The service had a 93% satisfaction rate, and contributed to the schools best ever Maths results.
2011 - 2014 - Maths, Science, Economics, English and 11+ tuition.
I have tutored a variety of pupils across a variety of subjects and exam boards.
Highlights include a 100% success rate with 11+ tuition, securing the A-Level grade a pupil needed to study Economics at university, and improving a pupil from a D to a B in Maths GCSE.
Hobbies and Interests
In my spare time, I am an avid musician, composing both classical and electric guitar pieces (including a fair amount of heavy metal Im afraid), as well as producing music electronically. In addition, I am quite the fitness fanatic, having been involved with mixed martial arts, cycling, basketball, swimming, and running to various (significant) levels of insanity over the past 8 years!
