I have been preparing graduate school candidates for the Quantitative section of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) for two years. I can also teach accounting and finance up to a postgraduate level and mathematics up to A-levels.
My strong mathematics background helped me achieve a maximum score on the Quantitative section of the GMAT and an overall score in the 99th percentile. Since then I have helped numerous students improve their score by offering them flexible 1 on 1 tuition. I also hold a Masters degree in Account and Finance from the London School of Economics, which has equipped me with the necessary skills and knowledge to help students with any coursework up to a postgraduate level in these subjects.
I grew up in Bulgaria and took a keen interest in mathematics from a very young age. I won my first mathematics competition in grade 4 and continued to participate and be among the best students in national mathematics competitions until I graduated high school. Five years ago I moved to the UK to study Management at Manchester Business School. As part of my degree I spent a year in Canada as an exchange student at McGill University. Most recently I graduated with a Masters degree in Account and Finance from the London School of Economics.
GMAT: Overall Score 760/800 (99th percentile) with a Quantitative Score of 51/51 (98th percentile) and a Verbal Score of 42/51 (92th percentile)
London School of Economics / MSc Accounting and Finance (Merit)
Manchester Business School / BSc Management (2:1)
High School of Mathematics Varna / Mathematics and Natural Sciences (5.8/6)
I worked as a mathematics tutor for 2 years in high school. Around that time I also volunteered as a camp counsellor. For 2 summers I tutored more than 40 elementary school students in mathematics, science, and practical outdoor skills.
Two years ago I started tutoring students for the Quantitative section of the GMAT exam. All my GMAT students achieved their target score, which helped them get accepted in prestigious programmes in the UK, USA and Europe.
Nadine - With just 1 month to prepare, I helped Nadine improve her Quantitative score from 31 to 44, an achievement, which secured her a place in a prestigious Masters programme at the London Business School. She decided to defer her enrolment and is currently working in the City.
Nick - We worked together for almost three months and with my help he scored in the top 10% of all candidates. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Sweden.
Christian - as a mature student Christian had not done any math for a few years, but I helped him pick up some basic tricks, which greatly improved how he tackled some common questions on the GMAT. He is currently an MBA student in the States.
Steven - Steven had a solid mathematics background but he was unfamiliar with the structure of the exam and had problems finishing on time. Together we developed a time management strategy, which greatly improved his score. He is about to start his Masters at the London School of Economics.
