My specialist subjects are history and classical civilisation. I also teach religious studies, theatre studies, and philosophy.
I am an enthusiastic and friendly tutor, dedicated to create a comfortable environment for students to learn and be creative. I also believe that a solid knowledge base and good analytical skills are essential to succeed in academic learning.

I have done more than 250 hours of A-level, GCSE and degree level tutoring in England. Over the past five months I have supervised undergraduates in medieval and Viking history at the University of Cambridge. For four years I have worked as a freelance theatre director and drama tutor. I Norway I spent 2 years working as a substitute teacher and classroom assistant, and I have also been a museum guide for 2 at the Norwegian Armed Forces Museum, and at Akershus Castle in Oslo.
Hobbies and Interests
My hobbies include theatre, opera, jazz clubs, sailing, rowing and reading. I am especially fond of the works of Oscar Wilde, and a couple of years ago, I directed a student production of The Importance of Being Earnest.
