My specialist subjects are Geography and History and I also coach for Oxbridge applications and writing skills. Having a multi-disciplinary background, I bring to my teaching breadth of knowledge as well as in-depth understanding. I favour a hands-on approach that regularly incorporates multi-media case studies.
I have just started working on my PhD in Modern Greek History at Kings College London. I previously completed studies at Cambridge University (BA Geography, MPhil Gender Studies) and the School of Oriental and African Studies (MA Historical Research Methods).
In 2004 I received the EDEXCEL High Achiever Award for 5A at ALevel (Economics, Geography, Greek, Maths Level Economics in Cyprus.
I completed 10 OLevel subjects: Chemistry (A), Computer Science (C), Design and Technology (A*), English (A*), English Literature (B), French (A), Geography (A), Greek (A), Maths (A) and Physics (A).
As a counselor at Seeds of Peace International Camp I designed and delivered classes in dialogue, conflict resolution and music to teenagers (ages 14-17) from conflict areas in the Middle East, South Asia and the USA.
In 2009 I delivered a series of Geography lessons to students in Cambridge and London (ages 10-17) as part of the Royal Geographical Societys Geography Ambassadors Scheme
Hobbies and Interests
I love the outdoors and in 2004 I received the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. I have organized and led youth development and leadership training programs with One Common Unity and Seeds of Peace in the United States.
I am also a certified Open Water diver and play hockey, ultimate frisbee and, occasionally, rugby.
